It's that time of year again for the FHR Radio Rising Star Awards. These awards are issued every year around the month of February to a singer, musician or band in the 18 and under age group.
The Rising Star Awards is a free program solely sponsored by FHR Radio. It was developed to acknowledge and give honor to independent artists (not signed to a record label) that have a history of performances and want to make a mark in the music industry. Someone that has been making strides or waves in their communities whether in the USA or around the globe.
The idea is to set out to discover, encourage, promote and champion up-and-coming artists.
CATEGORIES:
Rising Star Award - singer, musician or band based in the continental USA
Rising Star Award - International, singer, musician, or band based in another country
HOW IS THE WINNER IN EACH CATEGORY SELECTED:
On Feb 1st we will select the top 5 artists that have received the most nominations in each category and announce it. From there our FHR Radio team goes to work in selecting who should receive the Rising Star Awards for 2018. In past years we have simply selected the winners and issued the awards. What is different this year is that we are allowing the public to recommend and nominate who they think should receive this award.
CRITERIA:
Must be a singer, musician or band in the 18 and under age group
By musician we mean it can be someone that plays the guitar, drums, etc
Must be someone that has been performing
All genres of music are accepted
HOW TO SEND IN YOUR NOMINATION:
Nominations accepted from Jan 19, 2018 at 3pm - Feb 1, 2018 at 3pm
