Tyler Dickerson A.K.A. The Outlaw Kid is Florida's Male Vocalist and Male Entertainer of the Year. At a bright young age of 12 years old, Tyler has performed with some of country music greatest artists and is well on his way to becoming the next Garth Brooks. FHR Radio was recently invited to Tyler's CD Release Party that was held at ProStar Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida and let me tell you, this kid can sing. Since I entered the event, their hospitality and attention to detail went above and beyond. Tyler performed songs from his recently released cd album "The Outlaw Kid" which includes songs such as Honky Tonk Junky, Daddy I Love You and one dedicated to the troops titled "And the War Came".
Originally from Southern Mississippi, he and his family currently reside in Florida. Tyler began singing at just 5 years old, but professionally launched his career two years ago. He soon aquired the name "The Outlaw Kid" since he has grown to love the country music legends such as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr and others. Tyler recently withdrew from Gulf Middle School to be home schooled in order to concentrate on his career, a career that may have him traveling nationally and perhaps internationally in the near future.
Tyler has performed along side some of America's greatest country music artists. The list includes but not limited to Charlie Daniels, Montgomery Gentry, Trick Pony, Jason Aldean, The Marshall Tucker Band, Steve Holy and many others. His music has been so powerful that he was recently contacted by Nashville and had the chance to travel and perform at venues there.
If singing isn't enough, Tyler has also taken to writing and co-writing some of his music. He co-wrote three songs with Jeanette Goldman that are featured on his cd "Honky Tonk Junky", "The Outlaw Kid", and "And the War Came". His dedication and love for country music can be seen and heard through his music. If you ever have a chance to see this kid sing live, go see him, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. FHR Radio had the chance to interview Tyler during his cd release party and we will bring you that interview on the air soon. Stay tuned to our schedule page for dates and times of our special Tyler show.
While at the cd release party, I had the chance to preview Tyler's new music video based on his song ''And the War Came". Folks, you gotta see this video. It is currently available for preview on Tyler's Myspace. The song along with the video carry a strong message and a tribute to the American Soldier. It really impacts you when you watch the video and hear Tyler sing the lyrics with all his heart. Its a one of a kind video that must be seen by all who love our freedom.
Tyler's stage presense also goes above and beyond. His interaction with the public while singing makes his performance really shine. "I love to perform on stage and where ever there is a crowd", states Tyler. He continues to be booked throughout the year and well into 2007. Tyler has performed all over the State of Florida. He has open shows for David Lee Murphy and Blackhawk. He was also part of the Charlie Palozza weekend held in January 2006. His performance has taken him to Nashville where he has performed at Tootsie's Famous Orchid Lounge with members of the Grand Ole Opry Band. He also sung at The Stage, Robert's Western World and other venues on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee.
FHR Radio is proud to be able to showcase Tyler's music to our listeners and be able to be a stepping stone in his musical career. His music can also be heard on local Mississippi radio "WFFF" in South Mississippi. I encourage everyone to check out his music, visit his website and while there sign his guestbook. Watch out Garth Brooks cuz you got some competition coming your way. In this case is 12 year old country singer Tyler Dickerson.
